Some Russian Salmon caught mid May

Warm water (13C, not the usual 5C), clear blue sky and bright sunshine for most of the week reduced our catch by 50% - but it was still fantastic.

Most of the fish were running fast up the centre of the 200m wide river – way out of reach of casting – except for a few places where we could wade some central gravel bars.
