Fly Tying Session Thursday 29th January 2026
We meet for Fly tying once again this Thursday 29th Jan at the Baskerville arms in Shiplake at 07:00- 21:30, as usual.
Programme
The programme this week is:
Trout and Grayling Group
John will demonstrate the Reversed Parachute from the patterns missed due to the storm at the start of the month plus this week’s wet flies.
Sea Trout and Salmon Group
Peter will be tying a green butt cascade double – a good spring fly for peaty coloured rivers.
Game feathers
Just a few of shoots left this season – let Peter know if you are needing any feathers (Ashley – English Partridge have been evading the guns, but there are still three chances!)
British Fly Fair International
If you have the time, please try and visit the BFFI to watch the Fly Tyers – they are usually very high quality and more than willing to demonstrate techniques.
